Winter Village Edge to Edge was recently featured as our design of the week. Today, we’re introducing you to all his friends.

Edge to Edge and Borders

While borders are generally regarded as fitting into a horizontally flat space, the edge to edge and border designs in this set can be used in either capacity. It is a really great way to get more bang-for-your-buck.

By staggering each horizontal row when arranging the designs, unique all-over quilting emerges.

In your robotic quilting system software, consider “flipping” every other horizontal row. Santa doesn’t know if he’s coming or going. We suppose he does have many houses to visit, after all.

Corners

The corner designs link perfectly with their coordinating borders.

Unusual Designs

We debated adding this unusual design in the blog post, today. How about a Game of Thrones or Fantasy looking border? The Pine Tree border looks unexpected when flipped onto itself. Stitch one pass upside-down and the second pass right-side-up to create an abstracted new border design.
