If your longarm has a deeper throat space, choose to use the half-circle designs.

Size the designs a bit smaller or a bit larger to increase the potential.

While the classic Pearl Necklace designs are used in the mandala design, they look fantastic on their own, or with other traditional designs.

How Do These Work?

In your robotic quilting software, simply choose a few design arches to stack within each other. Use the scale/resize tool to space them to your liking. Make sure you test the throat depth of your machine when designing.

Here’s an example using only three of the designs. Notice the half-circle design is flipped and used twice.

This next example also uses only three designs. To create the full mandala, stitch the reflected image of your desired design.

These designs can be as complex or as simple as you decide. They can be densely quilted or have a bit of wiggle room between rings. The style is up to you!

Border Options

As with all quilting, creativity and imagination are your only limitations. Use the quarter- and half-circle designs as borders. Make the borders as simple or as complex as you like.

Edge-to-Edge

The edge-to-edge designs in this set offer a more contemporary approach to quilting. Scale the designs up or down for different textures.

Since the theme of these edge-to-edge designs coordinates perfectly with the mandala designs, stitch the mandala combinations first, then stitch these in the background to finish the quilt.
