Longarm Quilting for Others

Whether you quilt as a business, offer to finish charity quilts, or simply enjoy quilting for other people, ProStitcher.com has a couple ideas to keep you organized. Each one offers their own unique advantages and price-points for you to consider.

Designs for Customer Quilts:

What is the best way to showcase your customer-focused design library? If you quilt for others, you may opt to have a binder of printed designs from which to choose. In many cases, customers would not need access to your entire design library, but rather, just the designs you offer to customers. You may own 6,000 designs, but offer 100 for quick edge-to-edge turn-around.

We have THREE easier solutions for you!

  1. Google Drive  Pro-Stitcher designs, and other company’s designs, come with a printable jpg or pdf file. Simply upload this file into your Longarm For Hire Google Drive. Set up a folder and share the link with your potential customers. This is also a good place to host images of quilts you’ve finished, so future clients can see you skills. NOTE: You will need a gmail.com address to use free this service.
  2. Pinterest Pinterest allows you to create a board with design images directly from the seller’s website. When you purchase a new fast e2e for customers, pin it to your Pinterest board. Share this board with future clients. Pinterest now offers SECTIONS within board, so consider adding a “Choose Your Design” section along with a “Quilt Gallery” section for visual references.Quiltable on Pinterest
  3. Shutterfly Books If you partner with a local quilt shop, you may want to leave a quilt or two for them to say “Look, at Miss Quilty’s work. We recommend her. These are her samples.” It is a wonderful partnership, but it means you create quilts ($$$) and the quilt shop has to find a place to store/place them. Instead, uploaded photos to a service like Shutterfly and print an 8″ x 8″ book. We recommend waiting until their 50% off sales and ordering a few books. One for you to keep and one to leave at the store. A $30 book, is much more space efficient and more cost effective than a $300 quilt.
