71" by 82" DESIGNED BY Kathy Brown I grew up in a fantastic community of caring neighbors where everyone knew everybody. We had the bonus of an elementary school and neighborhood park across the street from our home. The park was my favorite place to go, with swings that took you to the sky and back, slides that seemed 100 feet high, and huge oak trees to lie under while staring at the clouds and daydreaming. It was a safe, secure spot—with one exception. A monster lived in the merry-go-round, and he appeared every time I hopped on to ride, leaving me dizzy and unable to see straight or walk. I so envied the other kids who could ride forever and never meet that terrible creature. This quilt reminds me of that merry-go-round, spinning from the center outward—but without the dreaded monster.
